Living in circles

I'm back, after a wonderful vacation in my home country, Portugal. My vacation started great with my flight being canceled the day before my trip. I panicked for about 2h and until I was contacted by the airline saying my flight had been rebooked to a better one! Instead of waiting for my connection flight during 5h I waited only 1h, and got to Lisbon 4h before I was supposed to.

Just before I left I had very intensive weeks of work. It's all still very new and I felt it was hard not to stress about things when I wanted to leave as much as possible done. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to turn off during my vacation but two days into it I had already forgotten all about work.

I understood that life is lived in circles and it is all about adapting to the different circles and their routines. There's the every day circle with work, home and training. There's the abroad vacation with big breakfasts, long walks, restaurants and loads of pictures. And there's the home vacation with comfort, hugs, laughs, shared food and wine. I got used to it in no time. We tried to do new things even though we have been there many times together and we took the time to do everything at a slower pace. We even took a break from running!

Now I'm back on my everyday circle and back on the blog again. We visited one of the islands in Azores, where we had never been before, and I can't wait to show you some of the pictures. Soon.

  1. Welcome back Sara. Looking forward to the post about the Azores. We won't go there this year (my husband if Azorean) having opted to visit Porto and then 4 or 5 days in Marseille, but I always enjoy a visit to the islands, where I always seem to relax!

    1. Thank you Sami! It was very relaxing, even though we were all over the island. There's something about those green fields, the sea and the landscape. We have of course way too many pictures but I hope to manage a few posts in the weekend.
Porto is one of my favourite cities but I have never been in Marseille. It sounds like a great vacation plan!
