Prague bucket list #8 - Around the Castle

There are a few great places in Prague located just a few steps away from main monuments, and therefore, empty and peaceful. Last weekend we found one more. Just about 300m west of the Prague Castle there is a beautiful church named Loreta, which still has a lot of visitors but not nearly as many as the Castle itself. Just across from Loreta is the beautiful Černínský palác, the largest baroque palace in Prague. Visitors can only visit the gardens, as the palace is used as the Czech foreign ministry. I must confess I have never heard of it before and it was a great find. The surroundings are also quite interesting.

Existem alguns pontos de interesse em Praga que ficam mesmo ao lado de monumentos populares e ainda assim estão vazios e tranquilos. No fim de semana passado encontramos mais um. A cerca de 300m a oeste do Castelo de Praga há uma igreja lindissima chamada Loreta, que apesar de ter bastantes visitantes, tem muito menos que o castelo. Em frente a Loreta encontra-se o Černínský palác, que é o maior palácio de estilo barroco em Prague. Apenas os jardins estão abertos ao publico, uma vez que o palácio é usado como ministério dos negócios estrangeiros. Confesso que nunca tinha ouvido falar do palácio até o encontrarmos e foi uma descoberta agradável. Os arredores também são locais interessantes.

Can you believe we had such gorgeous gardens only for us? This was actually not on our bucket list, but it would have been otherwise. Now you know, if you visit Prague look up for the hidden sights around.

Dá para acreditar que tivemos estes jardins lindos só para nós? Estes locais não estavam na nossa bucketlist, but estariam se soubéssemos deles antes. Agora já sabem, quando visitarem Praga procurem bem as vistas escondidas.
